Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited – The Biggest Telecom Company of India has now decided to launch various and the most economic broadband plans in the country at just Rs. 491 for the users. This is to compete with the most evolving telecom brand JIO. Since the introduction of JIO in the Indian telecom industry, no telecom company has been able to hold a strong position, but still, they are competing very well. BSNL is also taking part in this telecom war and offering much better BSNL mobile recharge plans to their customers so that they don’t have to switch to JIO.

BSNL has now come up with lifetime free voice calls to service and the new BSNL recharge plans are available for 2G and 3G customers too. This will definitely provide an upper hand to BSNL, as JIO is providing service only to 4G users. The plans are not only affordable but very attractive and you simply can’t say no to them, as 20GB data per day in just Rs. 491 for 30 days is something worth having. The speed is not an issue as the customers will get to enjoy about 20Mbps speed.

If we talk about the network reach, then it is provided best by BSNL, especially in the states, like Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Odisha, and Punjab. The zero voice tariff BSNL online recharge plans have also been announced, which charges even lower than that of JIO.

The changes in the plans and the introduction of new BSNL mobile recharge plans have been made after closely studying the performance of JIO in the market. BSNL observed well the after effects and services of JIO and the new plans are the result of that study only. The merging of Vodafone and Idea is also the result of JIO and BSNL people wanted to bring something more innovative, affordable and attractive to their customers, so that they don’t leave them because another brand is offering cheaper services.

There’s no doubt that BSNL is giving a tough competition to JIO and with the introduction of new BSNL recharge plans things are heating up. Not just mobile recharge, but BSNL is also providing two new Fiber to the Home (FITH) plan at just Rs. 777 and Rs. 1,277. Both the plans provide 500GB data at 50Mbps and 750GB data at 100Mbps respectively. This is also in answer to the soon to be launched JIO GigaFiber that will offer up to 1Gbps speed. Although the current broadband leaders in the markets are BSNL and Bharti Airtel, if we consider the track record of JIO and how it disrupts the market with its cheap plans, we can make out that JIO’s GigaFiber is going to bring a new revolution.

Even though JIO is the leader, BSNL is putting tonnes of pressure on all the other telecom companies, like Vodafone, Idea, and Airtel.

With the launch of JIO, many trends have changed in the telecom industry and no doubt that only the customer is benefitting from them.
