Medinah where,  Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) destination after his Hijrah from Makkah, and developed into the capital of a quickly increasing Muslim Kingdom, first under Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) leadership, and then under control of the first four Rashidun caliphs, Abu Bakr, Umar, Usman, and Ali (Razi Allah Tala Anhu). It served as the authority base of Islam in its first century anywhere the early Muslim group of people developed.

Medinah home is known the three oldest mosques, namely al-Masjid an-Nabawi, the Quba Mosque, and Masjid al-Qiblatayn ("the mosque of the two qiblas"). Muslims trust that the chronologically final Surahs of the Holy Quran were revealed to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in Medinah, and are called Medinan Surahs in contrast to the earlier Makki Surahs.
