Here’s providing some worthwhile information on magnetic inclinometer

by Stockholm Precision Tools AB Sales team

A magnetic survey is a very necessary aspect in archaeological geophysics; it helps in measuring spatial variations in magnetic field of earth. A magnetic survey is equally important in marine archaeology as it is in terrestrial archaeology. A magnetic inclinometer is a device which is used to measure the angle of magnetic dip and also provides magnetic azimuth angle coupled with readings of inclination and tool face. Magnetic survey instruments are specially designed for boreholes in the drilling and mining industry. Due to this global importance and to the increasing demand for oil, gas and mining deposits choosing right tools for survey and drilling should be of the utmost importance.  This is why survey tools companies such as Stockholm Precision Tools provide such tools and in particular the MagCruiser Nano to help geophysicists measure the Earth’s magnetic behavior.

MagCruiser Nano only needs to be programmed and synchronized with a computer. One of the benefits of the MagCruiser Nano is that you can take as many surveys you wish at any depth in the hole unlike some other survey instruments which restrict your survey opportunities for a certain number of times and at specific depth. Upon completion of the survey, the data can immediately transferred back to the connected computer via a USB cable. The downloading and processing time of MagCruiser Nano is very short and data can be processed within seconds in your computer. The survey data can be exported in different formats.

MagCruiser Nano can be used in single shot and multi shot mode. Single shot mode allows you to measure azimuth angle and magnetic dip at one depth whereas multi shot allows you to take innumerable surveys at any depth to gain required information on coordinate positions.  This instrument does not timer restricted so you can actually conduct your surveys without any time and depth constraints.

Outer diameter, length and weight of a MagCruiser Nano are 32 mm, 1000 mm and 4 Kg respectively. It is also available as MagCruiser HT with increased thermal protection(OD 42mm, length 1550mm, weight 14kg) allowing it to operate at temperatures up to 200°C. It is a very easy to operate instrument that runs from internal battery in memory mode. Its inclination dip ranges from 0-180 degrees and its gravity tool face and magnetic tool face ranges from 0-360 degrees. USB compatibility is also one factor that makes it very popular compared to other borehole survey tools.

MagCruiser Nano offers diverse functionalities in its rugged and robust design making it suited to a variety of working environments.
