Winter in Halong Bay is a truly best time to visit. From December through to end February every year, the temperatures fall to around 16 -18 C. The Halong bay in Vietnam is calm, quieter than in the true peak season, and with small wind, holidaymakers can expect remarkable conditions for cruising.

It has become rising famous in recent years. This is, definitely, hardly shocking. Halong Bay is 600 square miles of beautiful magnificence. The crystal clear, but water contrasts amazingly with the 200 limestone karst islands, that pepper the full area.

Whilst the vegetation is not as rich as in spring, the islands can still look their excellent. Mists roll in during the early part of the days and make a magical look to the area. As the boats move slowly between the islands it truly does take on a mystical appearance. The boats stop off visit some locations of interest. The Surprise CaveSung Sot Cave, is one of the more famous stops. Its stalactites and stalagmites have fascinated people through the ages. Now lit by power lights, they present a remarkable visual experience for Halong Bay tours. To gain access, visitors have to climb up to a top spot on Bo Hon Island. The view from here at this time of the year is wonderful.

It is not shocking that Halong Bay has been prized by some many different organizations over the year. UNESCO confirmed it a World Heritage place, because of its remarkable natural beauty. It was voted as one of the “7 wonders of Nature” in an international poll. Time Magazine, CNN and many other globe travel firms have included it in their best 10 destinations anywhere on planet.
