Nepal is one of my favorite haunts in the entire world, and not just for having the Himalayas as its backdrop, but for the sheer vibrancy of life in the small country. As soon as you enter the premises of the city of Kathmandu, get down from the flight, and walk out of the airport, you feel a sense of belonging. There are many a tourists that you will see trying to take in the beauty that surrounds them, and you might find yourself making friends with them. Needless to say, if you are into trekking and hiking, you can be sure that Nepal is the best option for you. Just book one of the Hotels in Kathmandu, stay there for a couple of days, relax and take in the sights and the temples, and then you can go hiking or trekking with the help of the locals. Just talk to your hotel people and they will be able to arrange something safe and great for you. When I was looking for the Hotels in Kathmandu, I realized that reading the reviews was an important task. How else would I realize what hotel would be perfect for me; after all, all hotels have great websites along with flattering photographs of all the rooms and other amenities. Since I was not going for any hikes or treks I decided to stay at one of the hotels that was most liked on a reputed travel forum. This was rated to be one of the best Hotels near Kathmandu Airport.

I love staying at hotels that are near the airport. There is logic behind my madness, and it is this: if I stay at one of the hotels near the airport, I get to sleep a couple of hours extra in case I have an early morning flight, since I would be able to get to the airport within minutes. Also, I won’t be getting stuck in traffic at all, after a long, tiring journey. It always seems like such a spoiler for me, when the hotel is far from the airport or the railway station and I have to spend hours in the back of a cab, fighting the mid day traffic to get there. I have actually missed a couple of meetings like that as well. And this one time I walked half a mile, in my formals, to get to a meeting, since the cab had hit a complete standstill gridlock. Not to mention, I had a huge suitcase with me. And so when it came to Hotels in Kathmandu, I chose to stay at one that was close to the airport.
