Treatment of gingivitis is possible, so early examination is important, in addition to treatment by a dentist; good home care for the mouth is an important for the patient.

Failure to treat gingivitis can lead to serious gums disease. In other words, leaving the gingivitis untreated can develop into a form of periodontal disease known as Inflammation of the supporting tissues, which leads to damage to the gums tissue and bones and damage of teeth. Here, tooth damage and other losses from inflammation cannot be treated. However, a dental specialist can reduce further damage by stopping the development of Inflammation of the supporting tissues.

Factors that can make the individual more susceptible to gingivitis. These include:

·         Bad oral hygiene.

·         Smoking.

·         Old age.

·         Genetic readiness.

·         Hormonal changes.

·         some drugs.

·         Stress.

·         Viral and fungal infections.

·         Diseases and systemic conditions (such as diabetes).

·         Illnesses that reduce immunity.

·         Pregnancy.

·         Orthodontic treatments

Gingivitis and the role of the dentist:

You should visit your dentist twice a year to determine early signs of periodontal disease. It is important to consider oral health as a collaborative effort between you and a dental professional. You are responsible for the daily maintenance of the teeth and the continuous daily cleaning, while the dentist performs a thorough examination of the teeth and gums, to identify any changes that may cause for concern or discomfort to the patient. Initial warning signs may not be detected with gingivitis. However, regular visits to a dentist regularly maintain oral health.

Prevention of gingivitis:

By arming yourself with proper continuous tooth cleaning, you will be on the right path to dental and gum health - and become healthier.

Means of treatment:

1. Cleaning the teeth in this process, the dentist thoroughly cleans the teeth and removes the black bacteria, and scalp or lime from the top and bottom of the gum line.

2 - Softening the surface of the roots and this process helps to speed healing of the gum and return to normal level may require the doctor to use local anesthesia before the start of this process.
