Guar Gum, CAS number 9000-30-0, E number E412, used as food thickener. Guar Gum is accepted as safe food additive in many countries with. Guar Gum is a galactomannan manufactured through grinding the endosperm of guar beans, available as white to yellowish-white, nearly odourless powder.
General Side Effects
1. Guar gum can cause gas
production, diarrhea, and loose stools when ingusted in large amount. 2. Guar
gum can cause blockage of the esophagus and the intestines when taken in large
amount or not drinking enough water along with it.
