It is a known fact that fresh milk is much more costly than regular one. However, the matter of the fact is, it is truly worth the expense. The cow milk is much healthier and tastier in comparison to the regular version. Moreover, purchase of this organic cow milk will promote the organic farming methods in India.

Ever since the introduction of the White revolution, a number of milk brands in India have surfaced up. Some claim to be selling organic variants while some amongst them are actually selling fresh organic products. So how can a customer discern between organic and inorganic?

Organic milk is the fresh milk that is attained from the cows that are raised on pasture lands. These cows are not exposed to hormones or antibiotics in their life span. Also, the pasture lands where these cows go for grazing are never treated with fertilizers or pesticides. Thus the quality of milk is the best when it comes to the organic variant. Moreover, the cows that produce the organic version are never treated with growth hormones. The cows are kept in small stalls where they are fed on the grains and grass.

If at any point of time, the cow producing the organic milk falls sick, then such a cow is removed from the herd. Doctors treat the cows by use of antibiotics and only when the cow is fully treated and the effect of the antibiotic is eliminated from the body of the cow, the cow is brought back to the stable. Usually the period for which the cow is kept away from the herd varies from 24-36 months.

There are also differences in the taste and the nutrients present in the cow milk as compared to the regular milk. The key difference lies in the amount of vitamins and minerals found. Difference is also noted in the taste of the two types of the liquid. It has been stated that the people who taste cow version once, never wish to return back to the regular variant.

The cow milk also has a high degree of nutrients and vitamins found in it. Research states that the cow milk has about 50% more Vitamin E when compared to the regular milk. It also has 75% more beta carotene in it. The antioxidants present in the cow milk are also three times more than the regular milk. Red clover on which the cows graze is also rich in Omega 3. Thus, Omega 3 fatty acid content is also present in cow’s milk.

Taking into consideration all these benefits and nutrients, cow milk is definitely the best milk in india.
