The government of India has
followed different polices for the purpose of promotion of medical tourism in
India. On site visa for patients from several countries, is one of polices

the government of India has removed visa restriction for tourist visiting for
medical attention within a gap of two months.

and UK often visit India. It was estimated as per the recent studies that the
cost of medical treatment in India is about 1/10 times the cost of same medical
treatment in developed countries like America and Great Britain. In addition to this, eye surgery and hip

medicine, heart surgery, and hip resurfacing are some of the other medical
treatment for that people across the globe visits India for low cost health
care.
Although the medical tourism
has generated a lot of money for countries like India but there are lot of
risks involved with medical tourism. One
of the main problems associated with medical tourists is that they face
communication problems. Antibiotic
resistance is one of the other problems associated with medical tourists. Legal
and ethical issues can be faced by the medical tourists receiving different
types of medical treatment in foreign countries like India. Treatment that
involves organ transplantation can face legal problems in different developed
countries. Such legal barriers can easily be crossed in developing countries
with the aid of proper organ donation system.
As an India's health
capital, there are about of 150-200 international patients visited every year
at Chennai. Low costs, excellent medical facility and little to no waiting
