Chemicals
are of great importance when it comes to doing work related to
construction of roads or waterproofing. These chemicals could be used
for specific or general purposes and serves as a backbone of
construction sites. Construction chemicals can be used for different
purposes and they are also known as additive substance since they are
used after construction stages.
Application of construction chemicals
is essential for performing road construction. One can use different
kind of chemicals depending on the construction material used. Some of
the compounds are used for water proofing while other are used as an
adhesive, support, grout etc. Chemicals used for the construction could
be sensitive so one needs to handle these chemicals with care.
How to apply grouting
Here are some of the steps that will help you in application of the grouting chemicals. With the steps given below, application of these chemicals will be easy and less time consuming.
1.
Choosing and mixing grout- One of the ways to remove old grout is by
using chemicals or using rotatory tool. Grout saw can be used for these
purposes. It is important to find some of the chemicals available in the
market to grout.
2. Applying chemicals- Next step is to apply grout using application techniques.
3. Remove excess grout- It is essential to remove excess grout when chemicals are applied using wipe or cloth.
Different methods used for grouting
In
order to ensure better construction, it is essential to perform quality
chemical grouting. There are three main types of grouting methods used
for soil improvement procedure.
1. Compaction Grouting
This
form of grouting method is used more commonly as a soil injection
technique in which low workable paste of cement remains homogenous
without entering in the soil pore. The mass of cement extends, then the
soil is removed and the compaction happens in the end. In this step, the
drilling is first performed, followed by grout injection, step-up
injection and finishing process.
2. Permeation Grouting
In
this type of grouting method, low viscosity fluid is injected in the
pores of soil in order to change the physical structure of soil. It
helps in the strengthening of soil particles and provides stability and
waterproofing at the same time. It is more of a flexible system which
requires less effort.
3. Jet Grouting
In
this system, the grouting could be performed through underpinning,
excavation support, stabilization of soil and pollution control. In this
method, a high mixture of fluid is injected in the soil.
