The Millennials have always been a generation that has moved mountains, embraced controversial beliefs, and challenged traditional values. The one size fits all approach has also been questioned by them time and again. While several traditional workplaces simply reject them without giving them a chance, connecting with them dynamically could give your organisation an edge over the others and your competitors would have probably never even seen it coming.

Give them the time of their lives

They don’t need your sympathy. They need a coworking space Johannesburg where they can even work in casuals without getting the feeling that they are being peered at for being unusual. While the Millennials are known to be demanding when it comes to certain rights that do not usually come with traditional workplaces, what they really need is for you to be flexible enough to accommodate their needs and requirements. A little adjustment actually goes a long way in establishing their trust in you and when you are least expecting it, they can even show you more loyalty than the worker, who just retired from your office.

Be the business of the millennium

Millennial employees can give you exactly what your business needs. However, the only thing they expect from you in return is a workspace that they can call their own – even if it is just an office rental for your company. A chill out zone for the introverted types, who would like to recharge their energy once in a while after a brainstorming session and a conference room for holding discussions with some infrastructure to aid communications, should do the trick! Take an office on a rental basis for a lifetime and you can save lots of money and even see your business booming over the years. And voila! You are now officially the business of the millennium.

Empower them

It is not just enough to give them a workspace. Mentoring the Millennials can actually work wonders for your organisation. Train them so well in their work that they would not feel disillusioned with your company too. They need to feel empowered and not like they are worthless to your organisation or that they can be easily replaced with someone else. Give a big round of applause for their accomplishments one day and tell them how much you appreciate the efforts they put in to make your company a success. At the end of the day, make sure you frame clear rules and regulations, give them instant feedback, and make the milieu at work very friendly.
