It seems like Google is seriously looking to resurrect the Nexus line of mobile devices because as of today, there are reports floating in the market that Google intends to showcase its Android-Chrome OS hybrid platform - Andromeda – at the October 4th event. The first set of reports suggested that the new operating system would be announced on a “Pixel 3” laptop that had been codenamed ‘Bison’. It was speculated that the device wouldn’t hit the shelves well into the third quarter of next year. However, there are new rumors going around, implying that there may be another Andromeda device lurking close by. In case you’ve missed it, Andromeda is the new operating system Google has been working on; one that integrates the Chrome OS into Android (rather than Android being incorporated into Chrome OS).

Sources at 9to5Google are of the opinion that Google would showcase the Andromeda not only on the Pixel 3 laptop but also on a tablet, built by Huawei. Based on their speculations, the device could simply be a developer-focused device developed by Huawei, only bearing the Nexus branding. Another difference between the two devices expected to showcase the Andromeda, besides form factor, is their release dates. While the Bison laptop isn’t expected to be on the shelves until Q3 2017, the Huawei-built device could see the light of day by the end of this year.

However, these are all just speculations, of course. And everything should be taken with a grain of salt. It is not even certain that the Huawei tablet slated for release at the end of the year would have the Nexus branding or not and most of the game like jet ski racing and power boat

Many experts say that, there has been so much hoopla about Google possibly shutting down the Nexus brand together, especially word got around that Google could be changing its smartphone brand to Pixel. However, considering the Nexus brand was introduced as a developer-based line of devices, it’s possible it could go back to being just that. Whatever the case is, we’re pumped to see what Andromeda can do. Aren’t you?
