Aren’t we all infatuated by the J.A.R.V.I.S. of the ‘Iron Man’? I sure want one of them by my side. The internet is evolving, at the same time, the interaction of people with the search engine is  evolving too. The short and direct search changed to the long specific search. Voice search is growing by the day. The mobile has changed the SEO game. The mobile optimization and mobile marketing top the priorities of the SEO services today.

The face of the SERP is changing. We can see Google experimenting with the SERP every now and then. Some experiments get implemented while some are never to be seen again. One thing is for sure; Google wants to provide the best to the searchers. The search results are becoming more and more relevant and the need to be on the first page is paramount.

What do you think would be the future of the search? Google knows it all and it is doing everything to provide the search relevant results to the users. Really? So, Google is happy with the results it is offering. NOP!

Google wants the searchers to participate and tell whether the search results were exactly what they wanted or not. Yes, and we are not kidding. The Google patent application which was published a month or so ago, is a proof that Google wants more from the search results. This technology would revolutionize the search for good.

What can we expect in the future?

The Google is taking the search to the next level, this new technology would change the ranking of the websites based on the user’s feedback and we are not talking about the feedback form. Google would track the biometric indicators of the user engagement with the search results. For example, let us suppose that you searched for the ‘best hotel in Atlanta’. You got the search results and at the top is the hotel which you have visited before but didn’t like. You will instantly make a frowny face which would be caught by the camera of your phone. This would put a negative mark on the website(relative to the search query) and as the frowny faces increase, the ranking of the website decreases.

Likewise, when a search result gets happy expressions, its ranking improves. This is the next level of engagement. The expressions aren’t the only biometric signal that would be captured by Google, it can measure the fluctuation in the body temperature, pupil dilation, decreased blink rate, eye twitching, and increased heart rate.

Determining one or more of these biometric indicators, Google is redefining the engagement and rankings. A satisfaction score would be given to the search query- query result pair and based on that; the query results would be re-ranked.

Isn’t it cool and insane at the same time? The brands and SEO services Companies which were just tricking the search engines to be at the top without providing a 100% relevant results to the users, BEWARE! This is a game-changing technology. We can see pretty positive changes in the SERP in the near future. You do not have to hit any like button or any emoji, the natural expression on your face can do the work. We are just waiting for it. Aren’t you?
