Amidst all the chaos caused by the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, social practices have changed. People need to maintain social distance and work from home is presently more significant than ever. All this calls for fast access to the internet. To enable its customers to remain associated during this time, Google Fi has executed two major changes.

Firstly: People all over the globe are using more data these days, so Google Fi has temporarily increased the data limit for each one of its users. Here is the major doubling up the limit for both Flexible and Unlimited plans.

  • Google Fi's Flexible plans

Google Fi offers 15GB of full-speed data per user in flexible plans

  • Unlimited plans

It offers up to 22GB of full-speed data per user in Unlimited plans.

Note: After the customers reach the typical limit, they will be charged an additional $10 per GB for the rest of the billing cycle and that too, in the full-speed. So, customers from either of the plans, will have access to full-speed data and can enjoy sharing any important piece of information or simply music sharing

Secondly: The Google MVNO has also announced a grace period of 2 months on payments on a temporary basis. This implies that customers who are experiencing financial hardships during this Coronavirus outbreak will have the option to remain associated with Google Fi for 60 days from their missed payment date.

To Sum Up

Apart from the two policy changes, Google has also confirmed that there may be some delays in its shipping partners or changes to their stated requirements. Google has additionally stated that it is “continuously monitoring the evolving developments” yet hasn't determined precisely when it intends to come back to its standard policies.

Finally, Google did not forget to reinforce the health and wellbeing of its users and officially said that if users need to visit an authorized repair center to submit their devices for repair, users should be mindful of the precautionary measure in their locality.
