by Pallavi Goswami content writer

When choosing between ghee and olive oil, most people get confused. Today we will discuss ghee vs olive oil factors so that the task becomes easier for you. But, before we start we need to know the basic differences between the two. Ghee is sourced from our grass-fed milk butter in a clarifying method. We can call ghee the purest form of butterfat, with some essential vitamins and nutrients.

On the other hand, we get olive oil by extracting fresh olives. Olive oil is an amazing cooking fat that can provide multiple health advantages. But there are some differences between the two, that make ghee butter a better option than olive oil -

  1. Olive oil is not flavorful and cannot enhance a dish's flavor. But ghee offers a nutty, toasted aroma that can boost the flavor and texture of a dish.

  2. According to studies, the health benefits of ghee are higher than olive oil. Ghee offers higher calories than olive oil.

  3. You can’t use olive oil in all types of cooking, but ghee is highly versatile.

  4. Ghee smoke point is a safer option than olive oil smoke point. Ghee butter is a better option than olive oil if you prefer high-temperature cooking.
