Getting Your Children To Increase Their Water Intake Has Never Been Easier

Once they understand the importance of drinking water for their health, there’ll be no looking back, that drinking water will keep them energized to actively take part in sports or study, that drinking water will help them digest their food and help get rid of waste, that water consumption keeps skin healthy, etc.

Lead by example- Kids are very impressionable and try to walk in the footsteps of their elders (parents and teachers). Set an example by drinking lots of water when you are around them. They would be encouraged to follow you in this aspect. Not to mention the health benefits of water that you yourself would obtain.

Add some flavor- Children often don’t consume that much water due to their neutral taste. Why not jazz it up by infusing with flavor by adding fruits like berries, cucumbers, lemons and limes. This is a great way to get them to drink water. You can ask your children to choose some fruits and herbs that they would like to try, accordingly come up with a flavor combination.

Your child should have access to clean drinking water at all times. Always carry a water bottle, place one in your car, keep one in their backpack, take it on trips, etc.
