Get Your Body Beach Ready in 5 Healthy Steps

by Emma L. Business consultant

The summer is here and you’re all ready for it. You look flawless and the only reason you’re reading this article is so you could feel like a regular mortal. Godhood can get so boring, after all. Or perhaps you are freaking out because the swimsuit season is here and you can barely fit into your bathing suit and you don’t know what to do. Either way, you’re welcome here where we share a few very useful tips that will help anyone shape up and look amazing for the upcoming summer and its long, hot days of lazing on the beach.

Change your skincare

Your face isn’t the only one that needs a different skincare routine. To get ready for summer, you need to think about how to get that soft skin that you dream of. Exfoliation is your first step, so do a whole body scrub to get rid of all the dirt and dead skin cells that have been piling up over the course of winter until your skin feels nice and smooth. DIY scrubs are a good option and work just as well as store both exfoliants. Next, you want to treat any issues that might be making you too shy to wear a bathing suit. Stretch marks, cellulite, back acne, are all things that you can control at least to a certain extent, but you need to start working on it long before the actual swimsuit season if you want to see results.

Tone your body

When working out, you want to work out like an Australian girl – frequently and passionately. If anyone knows beach ready bodies it’s Australians, so definitely consider stepping up your fitness game if you want to look good in your bathing suit. Even if you don’t have any extra flab, exercising is going to make your body look trim and shapely. If you aren’t used to working out, start slow. Cardio is excellent for weight loss, so consider running or cycling. Any kind of exercise works, as long as you enjoy it and stick to doing it at least a few times a week. If you keep working out but still have stubborn pockets of fat that just won’t go away, don’t worry. Even the seemingly perfect beach blonde Aussie girls sometimes need help. In most cases they find a good plastic surgeon like the renowned Dr Eddy Dona to help things along while ensuring they stay healthy. So exercise and a visit to a trusted surgeon can help you achieve the desired body in a healthy and safe way.

Be careful with dieting

Everyone is always tempted to go on a diet before summer, so very often we end up with extreme diets where we starve ourselves just so we could lose a few pounds. But this is unhealthy and largely ineffective. Those lost pounds will bounce back pretty quickly and you’ll be left with no progress. So quit with the desperate insanity and focus instead on eating healthy. Stop eating sugars and processed foods, and focus instead on cooking healthy meals. Dieting isn’t something you do for two weeks to get ready for the beach, it’s a lifestyle change that shouldn’t feel uncomfortable. Get your body slowly used to healthy food and it will start craving it on its own.

Don’t be lazy with sunscreen

We’re supposed to use sunscreen throughout the whole year, not just during the summer season, but most people don’t stick to this rule. Do you really need so much sunscreen? Well, yes. If you want to prevent skin cancer and premature aging, then you do. Always wear something with an SPF of at least 30, and if you’re at the beach make sure to keep reapplying it every two hours, as the effects can wear off.

Drink more water

As the heat of the day increases, our bodies need more water to keep functioning properly. Without proper hydration, our skin loses its elasticity and ends up looking dull. Our bodies need water to function, so if you’re not sure how much water you need, check out this calculator that could help you figure it out.

The best way to avoid the stress related to the beach season is either using superpowers, or simply starting on time. If you do have superpowers, please write a book about how you’ve obtained them so everyone can benefit. If not, then slowly change your habits and start leading a healthier lifestyle. It will help you look good not only in summer but during the whole year.
