BMC's Preparatory Course for GCE 'O' Level gives a comprehensive program that equips students with the essential learning capabilities that set them up for the yearly assessment of the joint granting experts Ministry of Education, Singapore and the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) for the Singapore-Cambridge GCE 'O' Levels.

The solid establishment of this program lies on the series of inward appraisals in particular: Mid-Year and Preliminary Examinations, which are encouraged by the Department once in the Academic Year for the individual assessment cycle. Entry requirement:

Ø At least 15 years old as of 1st January of the examination year.

Ø Applicants should meet one of these extra prerequisites:

Ø Pass with at any rate Grade 5 in English and Mathematics subjects at GCE N Level (or proportional) OR Completed Secondary 3 with a go (at any rate C6 or more) in English and Mathematics OR breezed through BMC Entrance Test

Ø Admission is liable to endorsement by the administration. Application which does not meet any of the extra prerequisites will be treated on case-by-case premise.

Ø Singapore Passport and Singapore Citizenship Certificate, if applicable.

Ø Completed Education History – Annex A (All past and current school report cards or transcripts are encased).

Ø Medical Report (s) with diagnosed medical conditions, if applicable.

Details of Parents

Ø If parents are Singapore Citizens: Singapore Passport or Singapore Citizen Identification Card and Singapore Citizenzship Certificate, if applicable.

Ø If parents are foreigners: Non-Singapore Passport.

Ø Letter to school from parents stating the reason(s) for seeking admission to PEI

Ø Letter from employer of parents who have returned from overseas.

Duration:

Ø 10 Months (December-September / January-October)

Methods of delivery:

Ø Classes are conducted using the following methodologies: Lecture, Interactive Discussion, Small Group Dynamics

Assessment information:

Ø Two (2) Internal Examinations are directed in an Academic Year to be specific: Mid-Year and Preliminary Examination. Then again, Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) Examination is led in Singapore yearly in October and November.
