  4. Tinted or large-brim glasses are not allowed
  5. Hats are not allowed and covering the head for religious purposes must not block the face

  • Documents supporting your academic qualifications/certificates. You have to submit the original documents and 2 copies.
  • Your CV/Resume
  • Evidence of ability to fund your education /Blocked Bank Account. In the majority of the cases, you have to offer Blocked Account Confirmation or Scholarship if applicable. A letter of Sponsorship is required if anyone is sponsoring you.

  • Collate all the documents necessary for the Visa application. Before you book an appointment you must possess a completed application form, travel insurance, and a blocked account. Academic qualifications, photographs, and an acceptance letter are also required.
  • Book an appointment at the German Mission in India applicable to your jurisdiction. The embassy of Germany is present in New Delhi. Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, and Bengaluru have Consulates in Germany. 
  • Obtain a Demand Draft of the Visa fee. You can get this from any of the National Bans in India and carry it with you for the Visa interview on the scheduled date.
  • File the application and attend the interview for the Visa. You will have to answer queries about your further studies, the reason for selecting Germany for your studies, etc.
