This is in respect to the idea that was suggested few days ago. We should start promoting for #GWF_2017 (Geospatial World Forum 2017)on our Facebook page. We can start posting pictures, conference theme, participants and various other activities to create a buzz around our conference.

Anyone meeting any client, interviewing anyone, any formal or informal meeting with likely participants of GWF 2017…just use your mobile phone… tell them to record a very small video message about how excited they are to attend the GWF 2017 and what do they look forward to in our events or any other message that they want to give. We will keep posting them on our facebook page.

We can also provide our conference website address there on the page. We can replicate the same process with our GWF Linkedin. But it won’t be a wise idea to promote this aggressively on our GWF 2017 Twitter profile.

Also to say that our target audience is not on facebook is wrong. GISCafe has 3.3 k followers on facebook. GIS Lounge has more than 11000 followers on facebook. We have around 5100 followers on facebook.

No harm spreading the word and trying something new.
