Without the GATE Admit Card 2016, candidates will not be able to appear in exam even if they have submitted their application form and fees on time. It is necessary to download the admit card and carry it to the exam hall in order to appear in the exam. As all the application process for the exam has been carried out through GOAPS, therefore candidates need to login GOAPS to download their admit card. They will not be able to access it via any offline mode as Board will be releasing it via online mode only.

GATE Admit Card will be released on the official website only for the candidates those who have successfully submitted their application for the exam. Without complete application, their GATE 2016 Admit Card will not be released by the Board. Officially, the admit cards will be available from 17 December 2015. Candidates need to download it and take a copy of it as well. The complete details for the admit card downloading process have been provided below.

GATE Admit Card 2016, along with one photo identity card of the candidate, are the only two documents that are permitted inside the exam hall. Steps To Download GATE Admit Card 2016

We have simplified the complete admit card downloading process in few steps. These simple steps can be followed by each and every candidate in order to download their admit card.

1. First of all candidates will have to visit the official website of GATE as admit card can be accessed on the website only.
2. Then candidates will have to login GOAPS by entering their enrolment ID and password.
3. Now they need to click the link for GATE Admit Card 2016.
4. Download the admit card and take a print out as well.

Once the candidates have downloaded their admit card, they need to take a print out of it and keep it safe with them as it must be carried by them in the exam hall. Moreover, they must also make sure that the details printed in the admit card are correct and do not require any correction. If any kind of error or misprinting is encountered, then candidates will not be able to appear in the exam hall.

The details that are printed in the GATE Admit Card 2016 are:

• candidate's name;
• Enrollment ID or registration number;
• exam center address and code;
• exam date and time;
• paper details for which candidates are appearing for;
• exam date and time;
• signature; and
• photograph.

All the details in candidate's GATE Admit Card 2016 must completely resemble them. If any kind of discrepancy is encountered in the admit card, then it will not be the responsibility of GATE and candidates, themselves, will have to get it corrected as soon as possible.
