GATE 2016- A Joint Venture of IISc & IIT’s

Engineers those who are preparing for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering or GATE 2016 will be liable to get GATE scores by appearing in this National level test which is conducted for testing the core subject knowledge and aptitude knowledge of the candidates in the subjects of  Engineering, Architecture etc. GATE 2016 examination isconducted by the joint venture of IIT’s and IISc. This test awards the appearing candidate with the GATE scores which allows him or her to take admission into PG programmes in the field of Engineering.

GATE 2016- A Complete Overview-

The main purpose of conducting this exam is to allow admissions to meritorious engineering students in Post graduate engineering courses. The joint venture of conducting this exam is administered by the IISc and 7 IIT’s situated in Mumbai, Roorkee, Delhi, Kanpur, Madras, Kharagpurand Guwahati. The institute, who organizes the GATE test is held responsible every each of the whole process and making the coordination among the other administering institutes. Further those who qualify this exam will pursue the master programs in engineering which will be given financial assistance by MHRD, government of India.

GATE 2016 Eligibility Criteria – A Straight ‘yes’ for every applicant-

1. Applicant need to be at least in the final year of his engineering course.
2. A Master’s degree in any branch of Science or Mathematics or Statistics or Computer or equivalent will make the applicant eligible.
3. The candidate having 4 years Bachelor’s degree in science also becomes eligible to apply.
4. If any individual has completed an integrated M.Sc. or five year integrated B.S. – M.S course then he or she becomes eligible for GATE 2016.
5. An individual belonging to any of the above listed examination that enable him to become a qualifier then they need to submit theirrelevant certificates or the provisional certificate proving that they have completed the related course.

GATE 2016 Application Form - How to fill?

To appear in this exam, all the eligible candidates need to fill the form for the same which can be foiled in the online mode only. Informatively, the candidates can do so accessing the zonal GATE 2016 websites of IISc or IIT’s. After the applicants have added all their information, they need to upload their signatures, photographs, and all other required certificates.

The act of fulfilling the application form is accomplished by checking in through the GATE online application processing system or shortly known as GOAPS. This interface has to be used by the applicant for applying purpose. Give a read on to the following points-

1. Accessing the GOAPS website from the website of the GATE zonal offices is the first step which you need to follow first.
2. You are also required to register by entering your relevant details and valid e-mail id and contact number to fill the communication gap.
3. Upon successful registration, the applicant will receive GOAPS enrolment ID will be sent on their mail id.
4. With the help of thus ID, you will have to fill the following details in the online application form-
a. Your personal information that includes your  name, mobile number,
b. date of birth,
c. Parent’s name and their mobile no.
d. Address of the student
e. Eligibility qualification
