In the years 2005, 195000
patients travel to India from different international locations for getting

The medical tourism in India

government to promote the medical tourism, it is estimated the growth rate will

years.

As per the report submitted
by Confederation of Indian Industry, it is stated that about 250 individuals

treatment. With world-class medical

the India's health capital. It was also stated that about 50-60 percentage of
patients from India also visits Chennai for getting medical treatments like
dental treatment, cardiac bypass, eye surgery and hip replacement.
The cost of treatment in
India is about 1/10th of the same treatment in USA and European countries.
