Fun Christmas Painting Activity Ideas For Children

by Pravin Dwivedi Digital Marketing Expert

Sweet giggles bells are on the brink of record. The season of Christmas and holidays are here. Let's encourage your little ones to enroll in painting classes. With all the super crafty ideas out there, I want to be pleased to hunt out a spread of painting ideas that allowed the kids to put their personalities into their watercolour painting basics.

Here are some of them.

Art using jingle bells

Jingle bells are the most important part of holidays. Let’s create a painting class for kids but with fun.

Things you need:

  • Jingle bells

  • Tempera paint

  • Construction paper

  • Binder rings (if you'd like "handles")

The process:

  1. Place the event paper on a flat surface.

  2. Pour the tempera paint into any recycled container or tray, you can see them in painting classes online.

  3. Add the bells to the colour and move the bells around so that they get covered.

  4. At first, we invited the kids to pick up the bells with their fingers and place them on paper.

  5. After observing, we realized that various kids didn't want to handle the painted bells directly, just like watercolour painting basics.

  6. Plunked the bells into the paint then dragged them across the paper, making tracks.

  7. The bells with binder clips between the regular bells, and thus the instrument bells, we had everyone interested.

Christmas tree painting on ice

Christmas tree and ice both..!! It’s just like the icing on the cake. You don’t even need to know watercolour painting basics for it.

Things you need:-

  • Christmas tree cake pan

  • Your choice of tempera paint

  • Paintbrushes

  • Droppers (optional)

The process:-

  1. Make sure to freeze the water properly.

  2. OR, you'll freeze a few trees

  3. Add small containers of paint and brushes.

  4. Take their paintbrushes, dip them into the paint, and brush the paint on top of the ice tree, and make a watercolour painting design in it.

  5. As the ice started melting, the colours began blending.

  6. And the tree is ready, it’s just like you are in kids painting classes all over again.

Easy candy

Which little fella do not like candy? Everyone did. Draw your own candy with your little one plus learn painting online.

Things you need:

  • The jingle bells

  • Gold glittery glitter paint

  • Red glitter paint

  • A small box (we used a plastic shoebox)

  • Printed pages

The process:

  1. Make copies of the candy page and cut it to fit within the box you're using.

  2. Spread red paint in one small container and gold paint within the opposite, you can also see how to do it in online painting for beginners.

  3. Add a few bells to each container of paint and gently move the box to thoroughly coat the bells with paint.

  4. Invite the kids to place the paint-covered bells on top of the candy paper, just like kid’s painting classes have taught them. Then show them the thanks for holding onto all sides of the box and gently tip it back and forth.

Large Christmas stamps

Watercolour painting for kids are way too much exiting then you think it is. And if it’s used in making big stamps then what is more fun than that. Watercolour painting techniques are not at all required in it.

Things you need:

  • Pour the paint into a container that's large enough for the cookie tin stamper.

  • We used cookware.

  • Place the paper on a table.

  • Large sheets of paper.

The process:

  1. The block that's used as a handle makes it easy for those small hands to hold.

  2. They lift the tin from the paint tray and press it onto the paper, see no watercolour painting basics are needed.

  3. This process uses the entire arm and shoulder, a superb exercise for adequate control.

  4. We stamped on large sheets of paper to allow significant movement.

  5. Just dip the stamp in colour and print them on large sheets of paper.

Let’s make the season of holidays more fun with your kids. Watercolour painting techniques will help you to bond with your child.

So, this holiday season, let’s cherish our bond this season.
