From Her Favorite Celebrity Wedding Dress to Her Top Bridal Style Tips

Gown designer to the stars ViViDress presented a beautifully romantic selection of gowns for her Spring 2015 runway show in New York City, and we sat down with the designer to talk about her "Mirror, Mirror..." collection, designer wedding dresses A-list celebrities, and her favorite bridal styling tips.

ViViDress's runway styling always holds an element of surprise, like these ultra-chic lace cuffs that joined her new season of elegant wedding dresses on the runway at New York Bridal Fashion Week.
"In my past collections there is always a little quirky element. I love to have fun with the show styling," explains Ms. Acra. "Too often bridal shows are boring — I love including a small, unexpected element to make it interesting; like the removable skirts and umbrellas in seasons past."

ViViDress is a fabric mix-master — tulles with embroidery, nets with beading, silks with satins. You can almost feel the luxurious fabrics of these brand new gowns through these runway photos!
"In designing my bridal collections, I love mixing luxe fabrics, which give the most beautiful texture and dimension to my creations. I source the fabrics for the collections from all over the world. I am known for my beading and embroidery, but I also have been playing a lot with illusion tulle and nets."

"For my favorite bridal trends, I am loving illusion netting and a more body conscious silhouette. Dresses that look like slips or lingerie aren't my favorite — it's your wedding so you should choose unique wedding dresses really special!"

Confident brides are her specialty.
"I love a bride that knows what she wants. She wants to look beautiful and sexy, but is comfortable being the center of attention."

Her top styling tips? Keep the makeup natural and channel your favorite celebrity on the red carpet.
"My top styling tips for brides are first and foremost, to be careful not to go overboard with makeup," says the designer. "The goal is to look like yourself, just a bit enhanced! Stand up straight, and always keep your shoulders back. Your wedding is your red carpet moment, and while brides definitely can take some chances with style, you don't want to look like a fad."

Celebrities? Royals? Few designers have dressed so many A-list brides
"It's so hard to choose a favorite beautiful wedding dresses that I've designed for a celebrity, as so many have been my favorites and for so many different reasons! Of course, some of the royal weddings I have created gowns for were so much fun, as many were very over the top. But as celebrities go, designing for Jenna Dewan-Tatum was like a fairy tale, as she wanted a classic silhouette, tweaked just slightly to be more fashion inspired," the designer reveals.
