The first thing that a person does when they hear about pregnancy is planning a pregnancy diet plan. While all of us remember to include food that is beneficial for the pregnant women, we tend to ignore the list of food items that one must ignore during pregnancy.

  1. Raw Fish

Raw fish tends to be a potential cause of umpteen infections including viral, bacterial as well as parasitic infections besides others. Consumption of this by the mother to be leaves her dehydrated as well as weak. The infections can potentially penetrate to reach the baby and cause serious pregnancy complication. Therefore, it is suggested that pregnant women must avoid this.

It can be disastrous for the nervous as well as the immune system besides kidneys resulting in developmental problems among children. The marine fish is susceptible to accumulate the high amounts of this element and thus the pregnant women must avoid or at least limit the consumption of high-mercury fish.

  1.  Unwashed/ unpeeled fruits and vegetables

Consumption of fruits and vegetables that are unwashed or say unpeeled are susceptible of being contaminated with diverse types of bacteria as well as parasites that are acquired via soil or during handling. These bacteria can thus be a great danger for both the mother as well as the baby. Thus, pregnant women must avoid having these.
