First Tibet Trip to Holy Jokhang Temple

The Jokhang Temple is devoted to the statue of Jowo Shakyamuni. This is the holiest temple in all of Tibet Tourismin china. Pilgrims from all over head to this temple to capture a glance of the Jowo Buddha, a statue that is said to have been endowed by the Buddha himself. Some pilgrims even flat all the way to the temple, even if it requires them decades to journey from their house town to Lhasa. Others journey to the temple everyday and flat at the front side of it, or circumambulate it while saying wishes.

The temple's main area keeps is most valuable item for Tibet Travel, a seated statue of Sakyamuni while he was still only a 12 year-old youngsters.
