Find Lost Data of Office 2013 In No Time – Here’s The Procedure

Especially when it comes on recovering data from Office application, it becomes more complex than one can imagine. Except the case, when you use online Office product, there is an intelligent auto-save feature, which eliminates the need of pressing the save button even for a single time.

The main problem arises when you work offline and you are not in a habit of saving the data with each change in the document or if you unintentionally delete the file. Therefore, we have got a simple and easy steps to recover the data. Taking the example of Office setup 2013 Word, find the explanation to find the lost data.

Users who have Office setup 2013 or older version may execute the steps below.

Please note that users with older version than Office 2013 may not find the steps workable.

Method 1:

  1.           Click the Office icon at the top-left corner of the window
  2.           Expand the option
  3.          Under the Navigation window, click Save or save as
  4.          In AutoRecover file location section, note down the path, and Cancel it
  5.          Using Windows Explorer, find the way to the AutoRecover file location
  6.          Look for the document with .asd file extension

Method 2:

  1.         Go to the File menu and a section of Recent Documents will appear
  2.         Click on the file you lost to Recover Unsaved Document(s)

This will direct you to the folder in which Office automatically saves the documents. In the panel listing recovered documents, the lost document/ file will appear when you next open a document.
