Find A Numbers for Jersey Online: If You Want To Wear Custom Jersey

by Sandy Clark Writer
The numbers for jersey has been decided by the football association since the inception of the game.  Numbers refer to the uniform numbers those are printed in the uniforms of the football players. The numbers are printed in very bold formats making a wide presence in the jersey of the players covering almost all the space present in the jersey. The numbers are printed at four places and in bold fonts in the front side of the jersey and in the rear of the jersey.  It is also mentioned in the two sides of the shoulder. A few players always want to wear custom jersey so that they are recognized by that particular number only. The numbers are mentioned in the bold in the game because it has to be visible to the officials who are keeping a score of the flaws made by the players, during the game. In association football, numbers were assigned on the basis of the position or rather the reputation of the player. The starting top 11 players were made to wear numbers between 1 and 11 and substitutes were supposed to wear higher numbers. The goalkeeper was given number one. However, with time there are changes made in the rules.

AFL rules

AFL clubs generally do not retire numbers (although Geelong temporarily retired the Number 5 between 1998 and 2005 after the retirement of Gary Ablett Sr.), but instead will often choose to give their more prestigious numbers to highly touted draftees or young up-and-coming players who are shown to deliver as promised and may share certain traits with the previous wearer, such as position or playing style. These players can have custom jersey.  For example, in the year 2010, Michael Hurley inherited the Number 18 jersey which was left vacant by the retired Matthew Lloyd, effectively keeping the No. 18 guernsey in Essendon's goal square for another era.  Sons of famous players often take the father’s number for jersey, especially if they belong to the same football club.

David Beckham jersey number 23

There have been a few legends in the field of football.  A living name is of David Beckham. Players of his level had some special thing with numbers of jersey. He has always worn number 7 when he played for Manchester United. In those seven years he was never asked to change his number nor did he ever change it. After he changed his team to real Madrid, there he wore 23 number jerseys. There is an interesting thought behind this number. Childhood hero of Beckham was Miachael Jorden of basketball and he always used to wear 23 number jerseys in the game. This was the reason Beckham also choose 23 numbers and from there on his career started flourishing. He gives some credit to the number for his successful stay in the real Madrid team.
