FIFA to work on the overall development of football infrastructure in India
With the U-17 World Cup coming up in the year 2017, FIFA is all geared up and set to work for the overall development of football infrastructure in the country. Indian football certainly needs to touch new shores and several initiatives have been taken by FIFA in this regard. Recently, a grand press conference was organized in the state capital of Delhi which Colin Smith, the Director- Competitions from FIFA participated.
The FIFA U-17 World Cup will just be the learning scale but the ultimate objective lies in bringing the actual football World Cup to the country. The year 2017 will be quite path breaking for not only football in India but also have an experiencing of being part of an international level competition as a country. Various officials from the AIFF and AFC also graced this prestigious press conference.
FIFA looks at India as a new horizon where the immense footballing talent just needs to be explored accordingly. The entire initiative which has been taken has the backing of the FIFA President, the executive committee members and the administrative staff.
A variety of factors were kept in mind during the trip by the FIFA officials. The team interacted well with the Indian contingent and discussed the various arrangements in detail. The ground conditions and the infrastructure facilities at the stadiums were discussed by the team who came to India.
The FIFA World Cup has left behind a huge legacy and this needs to be carried forward in an emerging football nation like India. The various football stadiums across India will be developed by FIFA with world class facilities in place. The development of young players also acts as a major prerogative for a country like India and FIFA has supported the program actively over the years.
Football at youth level can only develop if technically well equipped coaches train the players accordingly from an young age. It is very important to develop the various technical skills from an early stage and practice on a regular basis.
FIFA has internationally acclaimed coaches in place who can train the players accordingly so that they become competent in every way. Here training sites plays a very important role for the overall development of the players. 6 new training sites around the nation will be set up where the players get an international level of facility.
FIFA is also working in tandem with the Sports Authority of India for developing the condition of football grounds in India. A considerable amount of dialogue with the various state authorities has also begun in this regard.
As the President of the All India Football Federation minister Praful Patel has always worked for the positive development of the game in the country. By the end of 2015, all the stadiums will be inspected in detail and the Hero ISL venues have been chosen in this regard.
