Fendi Fashion Exhibition To Launch In Rome
Fendi has announced plans to host "Una Nuova Roma. L'Eur e il Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana" — which translates to "A New Rome. The Eur and the Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana" — in Rome beginning next week. The exhibition will be held on the first floor of the brand's new headquarters, or palazzo, in the Italian fashion capital.
Pietro Beccari, Fendi chairman and chief executive officer, told WWD that returning to Rome is a "symbol of our Roman roots and of a continuous dialogue between traditions and modernity, values dear to Fendi."

Baccari added that the upcoming exhibition "will tell the story [of the palazzo ... ] after more than 70 years from its creation."
Una Nuova Roma. L'Eur e il Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana is scheduled to run in Italy until March 7.
According to WWD, the exhibit will showcase a slew of paintings, images, drawings, photographs and videos by Italian architects of the Nineties. There will also be impressive design objects and historical images, as well as works of art from Gino Severini, Mario Sironi, Enrico Prampolini and Francesco Messina to Pericle Fazzini, Giuseppe Capogrossi and other artists.
Another section of the exhibit will honor photographers who've worked with Fendi — such as Karl Lagerfeld, Gabriele Basilico, Fabrizio Ferri, Franco Fontana, Andrea Jemolo, Mimmo Jodice, Giulio Pediconi and Hans Christian Schink.
A permanent light installation, which was designed by artist Mario Nanni, will be unveiled in the Rome space on Oct. 22. Architect Marco Costanzi, who also designed Fendi's Milan headquarters, was in charge of the interior design at the palazzo, WWD reported.
