Fast Rising South Indian Film Stars

by Kristen White Blogger
A few megastars and superstars have dominated the Telugu film industry for quite a long time. There are also some upcoming stars, but today we are only going to talk about superstars. Most of the celebrities we are going to talk about have been featured in the most recent films, and you can catch a glimpse of them in the latest Telugu movie trailers.

The South Indian film industry has four major film categories, all of which have supplied more than two superstars. For example, Tollywood has the likes of Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh, and Pawan Kalyan. Kollywood boasts of Rajinikanth, Kamal Hassan, and Ajith Kumar, among others. Mollywood has the likes of Mohanlal and Mammootty, while Sandalwood is blessed with Kiccha Sudeep, Puneeth Rajkumar, and Shiva Rajkumar. All the above stars are likely to appear in the latest Telugu Movie trailers and their respective language trailers as they have been featured in the upcoming films.

As we all know, the stars will not stay on top forever. A time will come when they will have to take a backseat and allow upcoming superstars to take the lead. Here are potential superstars set to change the status quo in the Indian film industry.

Dulquer Salmaan
The son of Mammotty, popularly referred to as DQ, has definitely worked hard to fit his father’s shoes. He made his film debut in the movie Second Show in 2012. Besides being a brilliant actor, DQ has a charming personality that is complemented by his good looks. His film portfolio is proof of what a great artist he is. When he is not acting, DQ is a businessman. Some of his other films include Ustad Hotel, Bangalore Days, and Charlie released in 2012, 2014, and 2015, respectively. You can find out more about him in the Malayalam movie news latest.

Nivin Pauly
Pauly debuted in the movie Malarvadi Arts Club with Vineeth Srinivasan as the director in 2010. However, the movie that propelled him to stardom was Thattathin Marayathu two years later, after his debut. He also made special appearances in the film Traffic (2011) and the likes of Spanish Masala (2012). He is on the right trajectory as far as his career is confirmed considering that he has appeared in movies such as Banglore Days, Premam Action Hero Biju and several others. He has also appeared in both Tamil and Malayalam films.

Fahadh Faasil
Faasil made it to the list because of his successful comeback in the film industry. He debuted in 2002 in the movie Kaiyethum Doorath which was directed by his father Fazil. The film flopped at the box office, but he did not give up. Seven years later, he staged a comeback in the movie Karela Cafe released in 2009. He has appeared in several top-notch movies, including Chappa Kurishu (2011), 22 Female Kottayam, and Amen released in 2012 and 2013, respectively.

Ram Charan
Ram Charan or Cherry is also set to fit the shoes of his father, Chiranjeevi. He debuted in 2007 with the film Chirutha. He was, however, propelled to celebrity status by his hit film Magadheera in 2009. His Bollywood debut was in the movie Zanjeer in 2013. He may not have achieved much success in Bollywood, but he surely has the talent that will make him a Bollywood star in the near future.
