The monsoons are upon us and we’ve successfully stored away all our good summer outfits to keep them from getting ruined by rain splatter. Monsoons are that one season where you have no idea what to wear because everything you wear is in peril of getting destroyed by the mud. But this is not excuse for you to stop being the fashionista that you are and wear rags throughout the monsoon. Here are some essential tips on how to shop, store and wear your latest fashion clothes this season without worrying about them being ruined by the rains.

1.       Invest in a stylish rain coat: We know that when we say rain coat, the image that immediately comes to mind is that of you wearing those plastic-y coats to school. But those days are far behind you and now you can find the most gorgeous and unique coats that will protect you and your outfit throughout the rainy season.

2.       Ditch the jeans: Jeans can become itchy when they get wet; they take a long time to dry and hence are a big no-no for the rainy season. 3.       Buy the right materials: Avoid heavy fabrics like denims for this season. Choose outfits that are made from cotton or even partially synthetic materials like lycra, polyester and nylon. You can go for brightly colored rubber slippers and sandals or jelly shoes or even plain flip flops.
