They might be amateurs or professionals but what matters is that they charge a reasonable fee for their work.

They are aware of various posing techniques which can help you look good on the camera. The models mostly pose with their hands or legs (but not both simultaneously) while sitting and this is what the photographers take advantage of. They take several photographs in a session and compile the best of these in a portfolio to present to the modeling agents.
