FACEBOOK ADD A QUIET MODE TO SILENT PUSH NOTIFICATIONS ON MOBILE

Facebook is about to release a new version of its app with a Quiet Mode feature included in it. The feature will allow the users to silence the notifications on their device, especially mobile. Facebook has proclaimed about this forthcoming inclusion on 9th April 2020. The feature is a much-awaited one as, for a long time, Facebook’s users are demanding it. Push notifications irritate the users a lot. Thus, the feature has arrived to mute the subsequent interruption.

However, it is not yet clear about what notifications will be muted in the Quiet Mode as the policy of Facebook says it is necessary to deliver the privacy and security update to the users. Although Facebook launched a mute notification feature a few years ago, that doesn’t work properly. As the Quiet Mode is here to stop the notifications for some time and later when the user turned it off, then it will be sent to the users. Quiet Mode will have arrived for all the operating systems on which Facebook works.

It is a shocking fact but true that Facebook glimpsed the Quiet Mode back in 2018 through Your Time dashboard aspect of Facebook. Now in a similar manner, Facebook has announced about it through a series of glimpse released on Google and Apple store. In reference to this context, Facebook said that this all is a part of a significant update that will take several weeks to be updated. The update will bring an analysed stat of numbers of visits alongside the day and night tracking time.

However, from now, it is coming for the iOS users, whereas Android users need to wait till May. Quiet Mode will work properly on remote as well as manually option. The remote option will allow the users to set up a schedule to turn on Quiet Mode for a certain time. It will stop all the notifications appeared from the Facebook App until the users turned it off.

 Facebook also added in reference to Quiet Mode and their inclusion that it will appear through a shortcut in the settings of notification. The users can easily manage the app alongside New Feed options to turn off specifically sort of posts that users are not willing to see. The Mode will block the post alongside all sorts of notifications from those posts that will not appear to the users.

The initiative led by Facebook to resolve the annoying issue of push notification will be a sign of relief for the users. Due to on-going circumstances in the whole world, everybody is dwelling in their homes and has started using Facebook again due to imposed lockdown. Thus, now they won’t complain about annoying notifications anymore. However, Android users need to wait till May as the feature will appear on their device in the initial of the subsequent month.
