Exploring Tamil Nadu on a Bike

Tamil Nadu showcases an extensive amalgamation of
diverse culture, tradition and temples. The southernmost state of India is also
prominent for some of the most ancient Hindu temples. The state has always
thrilled us and we thought why not explore the southernmost Indian state on a
crazy bike ride. We started out our journey from the northernmost district
Tiruvallur. When we say the state is synonymous for its temples we are not
exaggerating. Tiruvallur is a temple city and the most famous among them is the
Lord Veeraraghava Temple. After traversing Tiruvallur, we reached yet another
ancient city Kanchipuram. An erstwhile capital of the Pallavas dynasty is
cherished for the Mamallapuram monuments and bygone era temples. The city is
also famous for Kanchipuram silk sarees dotting the famous Gandhi Road. As we
are hurtling down the south on a bike. Green paddy fields, villages encircled
with coconut trees making a picture-perfect moment for a postcard Tamil Nadu Holidays.
We have not even covered half the miles and has already passed through some of
the amazing landscapes. Driving through Villupuram, Cuddalore, Perambalur, and
Tiruchchirappalli we finally reached Madurai. The city is famed for its one of
the most revered Meenakshi Amman temple.
