Exclusive Art Form: Calligraphy

Each and every culture has its own uniqueness with a background, covering history.  This unique culture can be seen in regular particular lifestyles, clothing, food and paintings. Some of the cultures come from ancient times and the elders pass on those to younger generations.

In this way, there is a unique specialization art of calligraphy which has been passed from generations to generations. This is an art which is related to writing which can even be used as painting. It is a skill full manner of art which relates the signs into abbreviations.

To give a simple explanation of calligraphy, it is decorated handwriting, which can be achieved by learning and with special pens and brushes available.

Types Of Calligraphy:

In order to create something amazing form of art, there are several types of calligraphies. But the main 3 are:

Ø  Western

Ø  Arabic

Ø  Oriental

Here we are going to see Chinese calligraphy, the Asian calligraphy. The Chinese calligraphy paintings are of an Asian type. The main aspect of Chinese calligraphy is that in China, paintings and writing are closely related. Chinese calligraphy is also known as ‘shufa’ which means the art of writing Chinese characters.

There are many treasurable things in China including calligraphy and painting. It is part and parcel and the soul of Chinese culture. The Chinese calligraphy requires an ink brush, ink stick, paper and ink stone which are called as the four treasures of calligraphy. The ink is made with the stone and with beautiful strokes formed by the ink brush, magic appears on the paper.

Ancient Art Form:

The Chinese calligraphy depicts their long and old history. They manifest over their ancient art stories and characters and try to incorporate it all through calligraphy painting. All the other calligraphies mentioned have their own unique way of expression, however distinctive feature and original style keeps Chinese calligraphy unique.

Modern Art Form:

Though calligraphy is an ancient form of art there is a retrospective modern version to it. It is like the upgraded form of calligraphy which ranges in the use of wedding cards, greeting cards etc. The written work in modern form can be either readable or just for the designs.

In many cases, calligraphy is still a special form in fonts as well as paintings. Its uniqueness is embedded in all sorts of modern-day paintings.
