Everything You Need to Know in Order to Plan to Perfect Camping Trip

by Whiteshark Media White Shark Media

You're getting ready to go camping. How exciting! You're not just going to pack up and head out, though. When it comes to camping trips, advanced preparation helps you get the most out of your adventures. The best experiences in life start with a great plan. With the right mindset and proper planning, your camping trip can be just as fun and successful as those seasoned campers. With this in mind, here's what you'll need to remember to take along for the trip:

#1 Choose the right campsite. Deciding on where you would like to camp is the first step. Are you looking for something remote and private? Do you want to drive there or hike there? Are you looking for something that will allow you to meet other people? Once you know what type of campsite you’re looking for, you can find the perfect place.

#2 Make sure you're going at the right time of the year. You’ll be sleeping outside, so the season and the weather will have a big impact on whether your camping trip is a success or a disaster. A lot of people have more freedom to take time off to camp in the summer. Initially this seems like a good idea, but it also means bigger crowds, hotter temperatures, and much more rain. You may want to consider camping at a different time of the year to avoid this.

#3 Include the essentials in your bags. A general list of things you should bring with you on your camping trip include:

Flashlight or headlamp

Water

Sleeping bag

Toilet paper

Small knife

Backpack

Toothbrush

Toothpaste

Comfortable shoes

Extra layers of clothing

First-aid kit

Lighter or matches

Food

Cooking equipment

These are just the bare-bones basics of what you should bring with you camping. You will likely be packing more than this, which is mentioned below.

#4 Pack items for your favorite activities and hobbies. You arrive at the campsite, put up your tent, and then...what? Will you be taking photographs, fishing, hiking, making s'mores, rock climbing, or mountain biking? Whatever you plan on doing, make sure you bring everything that makes it possible.

#5 Bring high speed wireless internet. Wait- you can have unlimited high speed internet way out at the campsite? Yes! This is possible because you can have high speed wireless internet and bring your internet with you. Powerful tower and antenna solutions are available for very remote locations. This is great for several reasons. You can upload and post your amazing pictures as soon as you take them. It's always incredibly important for safety reasons that you're able to contact someone and they can find you if something bad should happen.

Do you think dial-up, satellite, or slow DLS internet is your only option? Not true! You can find wireless internet that offers nationwide 4G LTE coverage to even the most rural locations. When you're planning your camping trip, don't forget to bring the internet along too!
