Winter sets in from late November and lasts till February with temperature decrease to -14 degree Celsius accompanied by heavy snowfall.

The nearest airport is the Jammu airport 111km away while the nearest railway station is in Udampur. There are plenty of buses and taxis available to take you from the airport or the railway station to Patnitop. Buses are easily available from Pathankot, Jammu and Srinagar.
