EVE Echoes Launch Date Confirmed

by Wang Rui Web Designer
NetEase and CCP just unveiled the launch date for eve echoes isk, the cell spin-off based on the massive online hit EVE Online. As part of a distinctive presentation earlier today, Wei Su, Senior Producer at NetEase, confirmed that EVE Echoes is coming into iOS and Android at August 2020. DEVEloped as a combined undertaking involving China's NetEase and EVE Online's CCP Games, EVE Echoes brings the EVE experience to a completely new world of gamers who have missed on the desktop race, and they won't have to wait either.

Within the span of one hour, three of EVE Echoes development group answered questions and provided fans in Twitch chat using an array of information regarding the approaching sci-fi MMORPG. While anybody taking a quick glance at the trailer might think that EVE Echoes looks suspiciously like EVE, there are surely some differences. Fans of the first space-faring EVE Online will probably know that EVE Echoes takes to the stars at a brand new world that looks a lot like EVE's most important timeline. Rather than the mind-boggling vastness of space that CCP's servers create, EVE Echoes will have a marginally smaller galaxy of 8000+ planets along with massive battles of over 100 ships. Ok, probably not that little an event after all.

Alongside the massive space adventure, this portable launching provides an excellent opportunity for new players to get in to EVE with a variety of systems developed to create like a tiny bit easier on this new platform. Tutorial systems for EVE Echoes are designed to guide players who are new to the space-faring sim toward their favorite playstyle and the current beta testing has caused an autopilot system that should prevent commuters spending their travel time traversing space. Obviously, iOS and Android players will also find they do not have to drag a keyboard and mouse around together, as you can see in the iteration of the mobile UI over the past couple of decades.

Teased in several of the stream's gameplay bits, the Yan-Jung were also revealed for the first-time today. This interstellar puzzle left New Eden long ago, leaving little trace. We have to learn what the return of the force means.

Probably most importantly for players present during the live Twitch stream was the three dreaded words, Pay To Acquire. Monetization for EVE Echoes will incorporate a monthly pass as well as allowing players to buy things like their own Mega Clone. We don't have complete details about this but it seems, from some on-screen info, that PLEX and ISK are likely to be in place in a really similar shape to the big screen version of EVE. Unlike many online multiplayer games, this doesn't look like EVE Echoes players will probably only be able to buy the biggest boat and fly off into success.

The launch window for EVE Echoes flew among a whole arsenal of other information, covering Corporations, private outposts, and EVEn new boat designs. Trust me if you have obtained your Multi-Pass handy you're going to buy EVE Mobile ISK love some of the new ship skins.
