Digital media has a mass effect. The world of digital media became popular because it was easier to relate with, because everything in it is animated. The words move, the characters move, the music plays. So it is more lifelike. It replaced print media as the conventional method of communicating on a mass scale. Lately, it is being used for marketing purpose as well. all the ads you are seeing on the digital media screens are all indicators of Mobile Advertising growth in Europe. Pretty soon it might end up being the only alternative.

Digital media allows you to target a larger audience base with the same content. The same video might be inspiring to a huge portion of the population. The same advertisement might help millions of people to relate with an advertisement. The capability of reaching out to the larger portion of the society has been the sole reason for the popularity of digital media. It has been used for many noble purposes and then gradually it was communized. Now, it is also used for selling toothpaste.

Mobile phones became a part of digital media at a much later stage. They were primarily used as portable calling device. Then the connectivity was increased with use of SMS. Now, with the doors of internet open to mobile phones, it is the easiest way to stay connected and highly common. Everyone owns a smart phone. So it is only suitable that it is used a tool of digital media. And thus it was incorporated in digital marketing as well.

Communicating through mobiles can take different approaches. The first and the most obvious are calling. So voice mails are used as a form of mobile marketing. System generated calls are connected with customers and products are marketed. However, it is not very popular. This is because people often disconnect the call after they realize it is marketing call and become disinterested.

The second method is to use messages. Messages are sent containing pictures and banners which serves the purpose of marketing. This also is not very popular as messages are deleted without reading.

The latest technique is to embed an advertisement inside some application. When the person opens the application and waits for it to load, the ads are shown. There is no way to get around this and thus this is the most preferred mean of mobile advertising.

All these new methods are brainchild of some digital marketer. Professionals have been working in this field, especially in Europe, which is reflected in Mobile Advertising in Europe. There are chances of introduction of more methods of digital marketing to further cut down on costs.
