Establish a Statement With These Famous Types Of Rings
Men have desired to invest in accessories to
decorate and define their personalities. It is a rare phenomenon that’ll you’ll
find men not liking wearing fancy rings, belcher chains, and bracelets. Designer
brands have thus found inspiration and have been drawing their passion into
metal studs, rings, and chains to provide the broadest range to men to choose.
So, weighing yourself down in metal is a new trend nowadays, and here are the
type of rings that are most sorted after in the market by men!
· Wedding Band: This is the most common type of ring worn today! Until the Second World War, only wives wore wedding rings, which seemed less about romance and more about patriarchy. But in the late 1960s, rings matched up with the market as jewelry. This shift is said to be fuelled up by the rise of European style. Italian men have never been as queasy about jewelry, but the second wave of feminism, which focused on putting both the partners in marriage on an equal footing, did its job! A wedding ring is a simple, clean band that bears a commitment and an expression of love. These designs are built more towards inside, rather than outward-projections. A carving against the skin is always more personal than a giant jewel. Gold Wedding Bands were traditionally considered with Platinum, now replacing it at few places!
·
Signet Ring: The signet men’s rings were first worn by Ancient
Egyptians. They employed them to stamp official documents. In Britain, they
used to have a back-to-front family crest, engraved on it. A person would
deboss it with his signet to prove that it came from you while sealing a letter
with wax. They were traditionally family heirlooms, and you were required to
have a coat of arms to engrave on the signet. The practices changed by the 19th
century, and the new currencies were more capable of buying their heraldry. The
signet lost some of its reserves. But nowadays, they are still passed down
within families and come with variations of designs. Gianni Versace wore a
signet bearing his label’s Medusa head, which can also be found on many of
Versace's fragrance bottles. These signets generally have a flat surface on
top, to accommodate engraving. They are chunkier and more eye-catching than a
wedding band.
·
Fashion Rings: There are few types of rare & are worn rings for
tradition, not aesthetics. Everything else except the two above is lumped in as
‘fashion.’ Something that you wear because you like the look. These kinds of
rings are a sheer expression of character, and you can wear them on any finger,
alone or as many as you like!
