Escape The New Normal With This Live Streamed International Music Festival

A virtual online music festival, Bigger Than Borders, has been launched in a bid to raise money for the Canadian and American Red Cross.

The newly launched live streamed music festival will be taking place for two hours between 8.30pm - 10.30pm EST on selected Saturdays throughout May, including the 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd. The final show date is Sunday 25th May and is scheduled to last for eight hours from 1pm - 9pm EST. You can join any or all events!

In case you are wondering, it is hoped the virtual event will raise funds for the Red Cross in America and Canada as both organizations have been working hard to support patients during the COVID-19 pandemic. As you will be aware, many people around the world have been affected by the virus, whether through sickness, having events cancelled, or work-related issues.

The events will be hosted by MC Celeigh Cardinal, you may recognize her as she is a radio host at CKUA. New artists are being added to the line-up each day. So far, we have confirmed the following international artists for your listening pleasure: Eric Bibb, Martha L Healy, Joe Nolan, Lucette, and Ann Vriend.

Bigger Than Borders aims to fundraise while also keeping music culture alive. The organizers behind the festival acknowledge that many events, concerts, and outdoor activities have been cancelled as a result of the global pandemic. Online and virtual events are the only way for you to figuratively cross borders right now, which is reflected in the name of the event.

Music is a great way to entertain you and can bring the community together, which is why a virtual, online event has been created. The festival hopes to connect you with people around the world from the comfort of your own home in line with government social distancing guidelines.
