Entrance Examination of Amrita University 2014

Amrita University conducts Amrita University 2014 engineering entrance exam every year for the aspirants who wish to take up engineering at the graduation level. The entrance examination is conducted for testing the candidate’s knowledge of Math, Physics and Chemistry subjects. The candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria and making the registration through application form will be allowed to appear for the entrance exam scheduled for 13 April 2014. The candidates appearing for the Amrita University 2014 exam will be offered seats at three campuses located in Amritapuri, Coimbatore and Bengaluru.

Amrita University 2014 Eligibility Criteria:

The criteria related to the eligibility of the candidate are a crucial aspect of the exam and it holds true for all the candidates who aspire to appear for Amrita University 2014 entrance exam. The eligibility is set by the concerned authority and can be regarded as the certain guidelines to be followed by all the applicants. • The aspirant must be born in or after July 1993.
• The aspirant must have qualified the class XII exam or any equivalent exam recognized by state or central board of education.
• The candidate must have scored a minimum of 55% marks individually in Math, Chemistry and physics.
• The overall marks scored by the candidate in class XII exam must not be less than 60%.
• A candidate having a diploma with 60% marks is also eligible to apply for the exam.

Amrita University 2014 Exam Pattern

The exam pattern is a process or a format on which the exam’s question paper is based and formed. It is crucial for the applicants to be properly acquainted with the exam pattern, so that while attempting the question paper they are aware of minute details and do not have to hassle over petty issues. Below is a brief synopsis of the exam pattern of Amrita University:

• The exam will be conducted over a period of three hours
• The questions paper will have questions from chemistry , physics and math subject
• The questions will be objective having multiple choices
• The exam will be in English language
• For every correct answer three marks will be added
• For every incorrect answer one mark will be deducted
• Total number of question is 120 having 40 questions in each section
• The physics & chemistry will carry 35 marks each while the Math section will carry 50 marks

Amrita University 2014 Application Form:

The candidates looking forward to Amrita University 2014 engineering entrance exam are required to fill the application form in the first place by meeting the eligibility criteria. The candidates are required to fill the application form in the prescribed mode and format. The applicants can avail the application form in the following modes:

1. Through post
2. Download
3. Online
4. In person

The candidates opting to avail Amrita University 2014 Application Form through online mode or by downloading will have to visit the official website and then they can download it or can fill the form on the website. The applicants can also avail the form in person through various sale centers present across the country. The application fee is Rs 1000 for all the modes other than postal method. The application fee for the postal method is Rs. 850. The candidates making the payment of application fee through demand draft are required to draw the demand draft in favor of “Amrita school of engineering” payable at Coimbatore.

Amrita University 2014 Hall Ticket:

The Amrita University 2014 hall ticket download will begin from 1 February 2014 on the official website. The admit card or hall ticket will be issued to the candidates filling the application form by meeting the eligibility criteria. The hall ticket is a crucial document and must be carried by the applicant to the exam center. The candidates must ensure that they carry the documents in the printed form only. The admit card in the mobile phone or other electronic gadgets shall not be accepted by the invigilator in the exam center.
