Entrance Exam of COMEDK UGET 2014

Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges will conduct the COMEDK UGET 2014 for admissions into various engineering, pharmaceutical, dental and medical colleges in the state of Karnataka. Through the exam, candidates will be selected for counselling and seat allotment in various institutions in professional first year degree courses. Exam Pattern

·         Time-span of the exam is three hours or 180 minutes.

·         Questions will be constructed from 3 sections – math, physics and chemistry.

·         Candidates have to mark answers by circling and darkening correct option in an OMR sheet.

·         No marks shall be cut for wrong answers.

·         Every correct answer will get one mark.

·         If any same score clash occurs, candidate with less negative responses shall be favored in ranking.

Eligibility Criteria

·         Candidate must have passed class 10+2 exam (or equivalent as recognized by government of Karnataka or India).

·         It is required to score minimum of 45% in qualifying examination (40% for SC, ST and OBC).

·         Allowed subject combination for engineering courses is physics, math and chemistry.

·         It is necessary to be passed in these subjects individually.

·         Diploma candidates are ineligible to apply.

Selection Criteria

Candidates will be selected for counselling and seat allotment based on their performance in the entrance examination. Seats shall be allotted on the basis of marks obtained, availability of seats and reservation standards, as applied.

Application Form

Candidates are required to fill the application form online on the authorized portal of COMEDK to apply for the examination. Before applying, candidates must go through all the instructions and eligibility criteria carefully. After filling application form and verifying it, candidates are required to pay the application fees as well which is Rs.1200 (B.E. course) in demand draft made in favor of “COMEDK”, payable at Bengaluru. On the payment, candidates have to enter the details in the application form and generate its printout.
