Entrance Exam of BITSAT 2014
BITSAT 2014 is the Entrance Exam for the admission in undergraduate engineering degree courses in Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences (BITS). The candidate will be eligible for admission in three campuses of BITS – Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad. The candidate may submit the application form online. the candidate must know the eligibility criteria before submitting the Application form.
BITSAT 2014 Eligibility Criteria
• The candidates who are able to fulfill the conditions provided in the eligibility criteria only will be eligible for admission through this exam.
• BITSAT 2014 Eligibility Criteria is the compulsion for all the applicants; otherwise they will be rejected even after passing the qualifying exam.
For full details the candidate must read prospectus. Major eligibility criteria are:
• The aggregate marks of the candidate in the qualifying exam must not be below 75%.
• The marks in the individual subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Maths must not be less then 60%.
• Those applicants who have appeared for the class 12th or equivalent exam after 2012 (not on or before 2012) will only be eligible.
• The applicant must not be a student at the BITS College.
BITSAT 2014 Application Form
BITSAT 2014 Application form for the admission in the BITS colleges must be filled online by the involved candidates. A print out copy of the completed application form must be kept by candidate with himself/herself. The candidate must pay the application fee to complete the Application process. • Application fee for Male and female candidates is Rs.1750 and Rs.1250 respectively.
NOTE: Additional fee of $ 50 must be paid to opt for Dubai and UAE as the Exam centers.
Payment must be made till the mid of February 2014.
BITSAT 2014 Exam Pattern
The candidate must know the format of the question paper in the final exam of BITSAT 2014. The information like duration of exam syllabus, types of the questions etc help the candidate better prepare for the exam.
BITSAT 2014 Exam Pattern details:
• The exam would be held in online mode only.
• The duration of the exam will be three hours.
• The syllabus will be from the Class 11th and 12th
• Paper would be composed of following sections:
• Sec 1: Physics
• Sec 2: Chemistry,
• Sec 3: English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning and
• Sec 4: Mathematics.
• Total number of questions will be 150 .
• Positive marking will be of 3 marks and negative of 1 marks
• The candidates are allowed to go back to the attempted question anytime to make changes.
• The interested candidates who complete the exam before 3 hours may attempt extra 12 questions provided.
• But attempting this extra question they would not be able to go back to any of the 150 questions attempted by them.
• A blank sheet will also be provided to the candidates for rough work.
BITSAT 2014 Admit Card
BITSAT 2014 Admit Card will be the identification document provided to the candidate by the BITS University. The Admit cards will be issued to the candidates around April 2014. The Admit card also called Hall ticket will be issued to the candidates online. The candidate must download the Admit card by filling in the registration number generated on Application Form Submission.
The candidate must carry the Admit card on the exam day. thus candidate must preserve the Admit card till exam.
BITSAT 2014 Result
BITSAT 2014 Result will be declared on the official website of BITS. The candidate must keep track for the result after the exam on the website. The result will be declared for each candidate individually. the candidate may get the result by filling in the roll number provided on the Admit Card. The candidate must download and get a print out of the score card provided by the website.
Furthermore on the basis of the result declared a merit list will be created. The merit list will be the list of candidates who have got the minimum marks required for the qualification. These candidates will be eligible for further admission process. In case two or more candidates obtain same number of marks in the BITSAT 2014, the marks of candidate in Maths, Physics and Chemistry must be compared in this order.
