Engineering Entrance Exam of EAMCET 2014

The exam is a state level engineering entrance exam conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad on behalf of Andhra Pradesh state council of higher education (APSCHE). Any candidate who fulfills the eligibility criteria and is interested in pursuing Medical can take the exam; Engineering or Architecture at undergraduate level can appear for the entrance exam on the scheduled date. The candidates must also ensure their eligibility before filling the application form. The applicants are informed about the fact that the candidates not fulfilling the eligibility criterion will not be granted admission even in case they have cleared the entrance exam.

EAMCET 2014 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

The candidates interested in appearing for the EAMCET 2014 entrance exam must fulfill the below mentioned eligibility criteria:

• The candidates interested must either be an Indian citizen, Overseas Indian citizen of India cardholders (OCI) or persons of Indian origin (PIO).
• The applicant must have attained the age of 16 years on or before 31 December 2013.
• The candidates must have cleared the class XII exam or any equivalent exam recognized by state or central board of education.
• The candidates must have had Physics, Chemistry and Maths as compulsory subjects and Biotechnology or Biology as optional subject.
• The applicant of general category must have scored a minimum of 45% marks in class XII and the reserved category must have scored a minimum of 40% marks in their qualifying exam.

EAMCET 2014 IMPORTANT DATES – At a Glance:

• Notification Releases: second week of February, 2014
• Online Registration starts: midweek of February, 2014
• Online Registration ends: last week of March, 2014
• Download of hall ticket: last week of April, 2014 to first week of May, 2014
• Exam date: 17 May, 2014 (engineering exam ; morning shift)

EAMCET 2014 EXAM PATTERN:

The exam pattern of EAMCET 2014b will depict the pattern of the exam in which the exam will be conducted and it is always recommended to the candidates to be acquainted with the exam pattern so that they sail through the exam smoothly without the hassles.

• There will be total of three subjects: physics, chemistry and Math
• There is no negative marking
• One mark will be added in case the answer is right
• All the questions carry equal marks
• The question paper will be bilingual i.e. the question paper will be in both English & Telugu language.
• The candidates opting for writing the exam in Urdu will have to opt for Hyderabad center only.

EAMCET 2014 APPLICATION FORM

The candidates interested in appearing for EAMCET 2014 entrance exam must make sure to fill the application form in the correct and format prescribed by the official authority. The applicants must ensure that the application form has been filled with full caution, as the official authority will not accept filling of application form multiple times.
The EAMCET 2014 Application form will be available on the official website somewhere in the month of February 2014. The candidates filling the application form will also have to make the payment of Rs 250 as application fee. The payment of application fee can be paid through AP online, E-seva or Mee-seva. The application form includes information pertaining to their academic background, personal information, certificate/documents etc.

The admit card download of EAMCET 2014 is likely to start from April 2014 last week. The candidates can download the admit card from the official website as and when they are uploaded on the site. The document is an extremely important document, which must be carried by the candidates to the exam center. The admit card covers basic information like the reporting time, exam center address, personal information etc. of the candidate.
