Endy Mattress Review

by Sleep Sherpa Sleep Expert

I first reviewed the Endy mattress back in 2015. They were one of the first online, direct to consumer mattress brands out of Canada at the time. Since then, other Canadian players have emerged but the Endy mattress has evolved to stay competitive both in price and construction. This mattress is made in Canada and exclusively for sale in Canada.  A queen size Endy currently retails for $850 CA and that’s before any discounts.

Overview of the Endy Mattress

The Endy is only for sale via their website.  Shipping is fast and it will arrive compressed in a box. There’s only one model of this mattress which I think is a positive since there’s less confusion about which one to get and I can tell that they have put a lot of work into perfecting the feel so it accommodates all types of sleepers.

Construction of the Endy Mattress

Endy Mattress Inside

  • The top Endy Comfort Foam layer has unique Open Air Cell Foam. Each air cell acts as an individual shock absorber, contouring the foam to your body by releasing air independently as pressure increases. This technology also reduces motion transfer, meaning you can change sleeping positions throughout the night without waking your partner.
  • The middle foam layer is essential in providing support so you never feel like you are stuck within the softness of the comfort-focused top layer. This meticulously crafted transition layer gives the mattress bounce while providing a gradual transfer of energy, making it ideal for all sleeping positions.
  • Lastly, the high-density bottom layer keeps sleepers properly supported creating a perfectly balanced sleep experience.
  • Endy foam is not like traditional memory foam. While memory foam mattresses sink in the summer and feel firm as a rock in the winter, Endy foam is temperature neutral and maintains a consistent firmness all year long.

How Much Does the Endy Cost?

Here are the latest prices in Canadian dollars as of this writing:

My Endy Findings

This mattress will work for any sleep position. I found it to be a true medium feel and it is designed so that if you are a heavier person, you will still get the support you need while a lighter person will still get plenty of pressure relief. This mattress is relatively breathable for a foam mattress. There’s no extra foam or padding stitched into the cover so it’s less likely to surround your body and trap heat.

I really liked how easy it was to move around on the Endy. It recovers quickly and because the top layer is made with an open cell foam it conforms quickly too.

My Endy Recommendation

For the money, the Endy is a great value. If you are new to sleeping on foam, this mattress is your best bet as it won’t feel like a traditional foam mattress that can trap heat and make you feel stuck. Whether you are a back, stomach or side sleeper the Endy is designed to please. You can certainly find mattresses firmer and softer than the Endy but it’s rare that you will find a mattress like this one that should please couples with different firmness preferences.
