Emerging Trend of Navision Systems
by Madan M. SoftwareMicrosoft
Dynamics NAV is an ERP system, a component of Microsoft Dynamics,
designed for international SMEs and subsidiaries of large groups. It
manages all business processes: - Trade & marketing, purchasing,
production, logistics and distribution, project management, customer
services, financial management. There are now more than 100,000
Microsoft Dynamics facilities NAV and more than one million users
worldwide. Microsoft focuses entirely on the development of its core
functionality and technology of Navision System. The sale and
implementation shall be borne by NAV partners. Due to the proximity of
the NAV partner with clients specific market requirements can be
incorporated directly into the modules of the partners. But this
two-stage distribution model proves to be disadvantageous in terms of
licensing costs. On the other hand it's a plus point that many companies
called onto the NAV environment. Add-on modules are specialized. These
add-ons are in contrast to the aforementioned industry solutions that
are aligned horizontally and form cross functions such as payroll, time
and attendance, cash access and e-banking etc. from. A major advantage
of the add-ons is that they are integrated directly into the data
concept of NAV and thus need for interfaces and data redundancy. In
recent years, Microsoft has introduced the concept of certification, the
partner solutions are subjected to a continuous quality management
process, which undoubtedly brings benefits to customers.
