Eight Content Marketing Statistics You'll Hardly Believe
by Fusion 360 Studios Digital Marketing SpecialistsAs digital marketing companies in Utah and across the nation continue to grow, the easier it becomes to study their results and analyze them. Here are some statistics Business 2 Community reported that people in the industry might already know, and some you might find hard to believe.
Lack of Planning
About 56 percent of marketers in Utah and elsewhere fail to document their content strategies. More than half of the industry chooses not to carefully set goals and make plans to accomplish those goals.
Social Media Accounts
Only 61 percent of companies using content marketing have social media accounts that their marketers can use. This means that four out of 10 brands have decided to stay out of the social media sphere.
The Underdog
LinkedIn has proven to be very effective, too, and it currently holds the highest adoption rate with 62 percent. Before you begin using Facebook, make sure that this platform is where your brand should be pushing content. It might not be the most effective choice.
Variety of Tactics
Most marketers use around 12 common tactics, but sometimes, they fail to look for more or even use all of those 12 tactics. Currently videos have among the highest adoption rates.
Blogs Still Relevant
It’s not the early 2000s, but blogs continue to be an effective tool in content marketing. Companies with an active blog obtain 67 percent more leads a month than those brands that do not keep a blog.
Email Is Also Relevant
Email is even older than blogs, but it shouldn’t be underestimated. Overall, email is better than social media at sharing content. About 66 percent of the Internet’s users use email to share content.
Start Using Videos
Using videos in your content marketing can help increase conversion by 86 percent. People are very visual and videos are an excellent way to engage viewers.
Informs and Converts Buyers
About 75 percent of Business 2 Business buyers search for online content to help them make their buying decisions, which is more than they did the previous year, according to Content Marketing Forum.
Although some of these findings are shocking, you shouldn’t be dismayed. If you find that your advertising is struggling, consider hiring an agency that can help bolster your success.
